Huber Habit – 9/11/2017

Posted on Sep 14, 2017

Greetings from the Huber,
The past few weeks we have all been effected by the storms, from too much rain, hurricanes, and the fires in the West.; we may know someone directly, or we are trying to figure out how to best help those in need. I believe when we start with prayer, we will receive the guidance we are looking for.

On Thursday, Sept 21 it will be a busy day here at the Huber, In the morning from 9 – 11 the Huber Boys are hosting a gathering. MEET THE COPS.
The Police and the Sheriff Dept. will be here so you can come talk and to know them. Hopefully Josh Flanary, dog handler and the K-9 dog will also be here. There will be free coffee and donuts from Farmer American Legion. This is not just for town folk, if you know any homeschoolers let them know.

Then in the evening of Sept. 21, the Senior Saints will be here at 7 pm. This year’s theme is ‘Travel On’. Through song and narration, you will hear the history of transportation from walking to soaring in space. Saints will share stories of adventures they have experienced. They celebrate through music that Jesus walks with us daily, on this road of life. Free will donation greatly appreciated. Here’s to seeing you at the Huber!

The Defiance Area Foundation is looking for sponsors for their “Clothes for Kids” program. Their Mission – to provide elementary age school children that are from financially challenged homes, with new tennis (athletic) shoes and a new “Back to School Outfit” so children can feel good about themselves and their appearance. Attached is their brochure and an information flyer. This is an opportunity to help out locally.
