The Little Big Band is “the little band with the big band sound.” The Little Big Band is just what the name implies, a scaled-down version of the big bands of the 1940’s. The bands of that day contained five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones, a piano, bass and drums. The Little Big Band contains four saxophones, two trumpets, two trombones, piano, bass, vocalist and drums, but still retains the full big band sound. The band plays a variety of music from Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, as well as swing tunes by Louie Prima and other artists. Whether it is a slow dance you want to do, want a Latin beat, or just to tap your feet, the Little Big Band will supply the music. A free will donation will be accepted to support the Huber. So, no matter if you are dead-hoofer or a jive bomber, join us at the Huber on September 15 at 7 pm for a full evening of classic and enduring music.
