Jim Schmidt

President

Jim is the owner of Jim Schmidt Family of Dealerships in Hicksville and Delphos, Ohio. He is a graduate of Continental High School (1976) and is married to Karen. They have three daughters and nine grandchildren. He is a member of St. John Lutheran Church and The Hicksville Bank Board of Directors. Jim’s hobbies include golf and outdoor yard work.

Keith Countryman

Vice-President

Keith Countryman stands as a pillar of the Hicksville community, significantly shaping its education and culture, particularly through the Huber Opera House. A local graduate and former restaurant owner, he’s also made a mark as Hicksville’s superintendent and as a devoted Huber Opera House board member, directing numerous school musicals. Beyond his professional endeavors, Keith’s family life with wife Gail, daughter Ariana, and his four grandchildren is filled with travel, music, and joy. His efforts in education and the arts reflect his profound commitment to Hicksville’s vibrancy and spirit.

Amanda Mc Alexander

Secretary

Amanda is a graduate of Antwerp High School and has worked at The Hicksville Bank for 21 years. Her husband, Caleb McAlexander, and she have three daughters, Haven, Evy, and Bryn, who have been involved with the youth theater summer camps. Their involvement with the Huber spurred her interest to become more involved with the Huber and she enjoys watching shows and concerts at the Huber. Amanda’s hobbies include crafting, working in the yard, taking care of two horses, three dogs, three cats and many chickens.

Elizabeth Vance

Treasurer

Elizabeth attended Paulding High School and graduated in 2003. She is currently the Office Manager at Arc Solutions, Inc. in Hicksville. As well as being the Treasurer for the Huber Board of Directors, she often volunteers her time with the Huber and Hicksville School productions as a sound tech. Liz is married to Adam Vance and has three children: Blayze, Joydys, and Lyric. All of her children have been part of a show at some time since they moved to Hicksville. Her children are what led her to become involved in the theater. Liz is very grateful that Hicksville has such an amazing theater in the community that brings people together.

Phyllis Amaden

Board Member

Phyllis is a Hicksville High School graduate (1955) and attended International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to complete the Executive Business Course. She has worked for the US Weather Service at Washington National Airport and Jim Schmidt Chevy Olds, Inc. for 22 years, with her retirement in 2001. Phyllis has been involved with the Huber Office since 2012, serving as the secretary to the Board of Directors until 2022. She has three daughters, Karen, Diane, and Cheryl along with ten grandchildren and many granddogs. Through the years she has enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and reading as well as serving as playing for worship services as the Frist Presbyterian church for over 20 years.

Jennifer Ankney

Board Member

Jennifer joined the Huber Board of Directors in 2023. She is a Hicksville, Ohio native along with her husband Paul and they are raising their son Canyon here in Hicksville as well.  She is a Realtor at Sam Switzer Realty uptown and a former theatre educator.  She has been involved in the Huber shows in many capacities: as a performer, a technician, and a director.   She also has an adult son, Curtis, and a grandson, Noah.  In her spare time, she likes to read, perform and spend time outdoors with her family.   She is also a member of the board of both the Hicksville and Antwerp Chambers of Commerce.   She is fiercely protective of and a champion for arts education and opportunities for our youth as well as our community.

Bob Breidenbaugh

Past President

Bob Breidenbaugh is a Hicksville High School Graduate and worked for General Motors for 55 years. Although he is retired, he is still a courier for local dealerships delivering vehicles and paperwork through out Northwest Ohio. He became involved with the Huber in 2003 when the purchase of the chandelier for the auditorium was being considered. Bob did the research to choose one that would be historically appropriate as a replacement. Bob then joined the Board and along with his wife provided janitorial services for a couple of years. He and his wife, Alice, have been married for 58 years and have four children and eight grandchildren. Bob’s hobbies are restoring old vehicles, including a 1936 tractor. He has a wonderful collection of vintage toys including small farm machinery from 1940’s-1960’s.

Mike Headley

Board Member

Mike Headley has been a life long resident of Hicksville and a graduate of Hicksville High School (1964) and University of Toledo with a degree in Business Administration (1969). He served in the Army (1969-1984) as a Nuclear Weapons Officer and in the reserves reaching the rank of Captain. He and his wife, Roxanne, have two sons, Michael and Jared, and three grandchildren. Mike has held several positions in the family business that his father started in 1946 and started Headley Enterprise, Inc. opening H & W Automotive with his three brothers in 1977. He has now handed down to the business to his son, but still helps out when needed. He is a member of Cornerstone Church, American Legion Post 223, Hicksville Eagles, and served on Hicksville City Council including serving as the mayor. He has been involved with the Hubersince the beginning of the reconstruction and is so pleased with the progress from the ruins to the beautiful facility and thriving organization the Huber has become in the past 25 years.

Alice Hook

Board Member

Alice has been involved with the Huber in many capacities over the years including Office staff, Huber Historian, Huber Community Choir, Huber Board of Directors, and numerous Village Players productions at the Huber. She graduated from Granville High School, Defiance College (BS Education), and IPFW (Masters of Education). She retired from 34 years of teaching at Hicksville in 1990. Her children, Beth (Randy) Headley and Jeff (Tina) Hook, along with her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren keep Alice busy attending ballgames and school events. In her spare time, she enjoys doing puzzles and attending flower club, retired teacher’s luncheons, and church.

Kenny Rodocker

Board Member

Kenny Rodocker is a Hicksville resident and graduated in 1956 from Farmer High School. He retired from Kenny’s BP Station after 20 years along with his plumbing, heating and electrical business. Kenny has been involved with the Huber since the beginning of the reconstruction in 1999 and oversaw the renovation project along with his wife and a lot of volunteers. He also was in charge of the concessions at the Huber for many years. He and his wife, Sandy, have four children, two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren. Kenny has been enjoying his retirement by working in his shop and watching old black and white westerns.

AJ Swanson

Board Member

AJ Swanson received his BA in Theatre from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Some of AJ’s favorite roles where Einstein in Einstein’s a Dummy, Bobby Strong in Urinetown the Musical and Cornelius in Hello Dolly. AJ went on after University to attend Seminary where he received a MA in Religion at Southern Evangelical Seminary. He now serves as Pastor at Hicksville Cornerstone Church. AJ is married to Corrie and they have 4 wonderful children. He has been involved in the Huber both on the Board and helping with Children’s Theatre Camp during the summers since he moved here in 2021. AJ also started Hicksville Club Soccer, bringing a local soccer organization to Hicksville Ohio. AJ is thrilled to be partnered with so many wonderful volunteers and workers at the Huber Opera House.

Bob Weatherhead

Board Member

Bob joined the Huber Board in 2019 and is currently the Financial Officer for The Wholesale House in Hicksville. He is a graduate of Antwerp High School and the University of Toledo. Bob and his wife, Shelly, have five children and twelve grandchildren. His hobbies include music, playing in a band, volunteer coaching, motorcycle riding, and pickleball. Bob has been involved with the Huber for many years as he has appeared in Huber productions, volunteered, and performed at the patio concerts in the summer.

Chris Feichter

Director of Operations

Chris has been volunteering and working at the Huber Opera House since 2015. But her love for theater, music, and productions has always been a part of life. She participated in band, choir, plays and musicals at DeKalb High School and DePauw University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (1977), and a Masters of Education from Indiana University (1981). Her career in education includes eleven years of teaching kindergarten in Kendellville, Indiana, being principal of Antwerp Elementary for twelve years, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Western Buckeye Educational Service Center for seventeen years until her retirement in 2018. She has two daughters, Katelyn (Mike) Melvin and Hayley Feichter and two grandchildren. Hobbies include crafting, cardmaking, scrapbooking, and flower gardening. Chris recently moved to Hicksville and started at the Huber by writing grants to support the reconstruction efforts, the plays and the youth productions. She stays busy producing four to six Huber productions each year and serving as coordinator of the events and activities of the Huber. Her love for everything theater continues to grow as she serves the Huber as the Director of Operations.

Janice Mollohan

Office Manager

As office manager, Janice has the duties of emails, phone calls, and depositing funds. She was born in New Jersey, but attended Antwerp Elementary School, and a high school in Kentucky. Her husband, Steve and his job took them on adventures in Kansas, Illinois, Oklahoma, Okinawa Japan, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan, and eventually to Hicksville so they could be closer to their family. She has also had many jobs along the way including child care, dental assistant, retail cashier, and respite care for disabled children. The perks of the Huber office are the opportunity to meet a variety of interesting folks that walk into the office to purchase tickets to a show, to rent the Huber for an event, or performers looking for a venue, which keeps the job full of surprises every day. Janice enjoys meeting the wonderful people that live in Hicksville and learning the rich history of the Huber and the town.

Julie Hall

Productions Manager

Julie Hall is a graduate of Antwerp High School and has over 48 years of teaching twirling, color guard, and dance. She owned and operated The Dance Dolls Studio in Antwerp for twenty years. She has been involved for most of her life performing and directing plays, musicals, and shows in Hicksville, Bryan, Antwerp, Paulding, Montpelier, Angola and Coldwater, Michigan. Most recently, Julie has been involved with the Summer Youth Theater Program for the past nine years as well as directing plays and musicals for all ages at the Huber. She was instrumental in creating “Marlene’s Closet,” the costume room at the Huber, which houses an extensive collection of period clothing, shoes, hats, and props which are used in stage productions. Julie has also been very successful in painting and decorating homes and planning special occasions and celebrations with her artistic flair. She has three children and her hobbies include gardening, scrapbooking, card making, and playing cards with friends.
