AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions will be held at the Huber Opera House in Hicksville, Ohio, on Thurs., May 5 @ 6-8 pm and Sun., May 7 @10 am-noon
You need attend only one date for an initial audition. Ages 12-18.
Please call 419-506-0151 for an audition time slot. Masks are required.
Auditions will be scheduled for a one hour time block. Callbacks will be made only if necessary. Those wishing to participate behind the scenes (stage managers, stage crew, tech, set build) are asked to stop in during auditions to fill out paperwork. Call or text Chris Feichter at 419-506-0151 to schedule your audition time.
To bring with you:
- Please visit the Huber website at huberoperahouse.org and download the Legally Blonde, Jr. Registration Form. Print it out, fill it out, and bring it with you. Resumes suggested, but not required. If you cannot print out the form, we will have some available at auditions, but please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the form on site.
- Please be prepared to sing 1 ½ minute of a song, preferable from the show or from the era of the show. Bring your own accompaniment to your song on your phone (you may sing along to a vocal version of your song.)
- Water bottles only, no food.
- If you want to audition for a dancing role, please prepare a one-minute solo. Must bring own music and preferably dance in the style of the show.

Rehearsals for Xanadu, Jr. will be in the form of a Summer Academy on the following dates:
Full Cast: June 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 & July 6, 7 @ 9:30-3:00. The week of July 10-14- times TBA.
Additional rehearsals for main characters may be scheduled during the weeks of June 6-10, June 13-17, times would be in the evenings probably. Vocal rehearsals for soloists and small groups will be scheduled directly with music director.
Weeks of June 6 and June 13: These rehearsals will be scheduled with consideration of your availability.
Hint: Look up videos on YouTube to familiarize yourself with this production and choose audition songs.

The Academy Sessions/Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (9:30-2:00) on June 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, July 6, 7. Times will be announced for rehearsals on July 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Leads/ensembles may have additional rehearsals during the week of June 6, week of June 13 and week of July 5. For the success of the show, all cast members will be expected to attend the 10 Academy dates in June and July.
Performance Dates are July 16 & 17.

PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT: I will accept any role, participate in all scheduled rehearsals, and learn my parts, dances, and songs. I understand that if I miss a majority of rehearsals, it could mean I could be removed from my role. I will pay attention during rehearsal, be helpful to others, and be respectful to everyone during rehearsals and performances. I agree to these guidelines.

PARENT AGREEMENT (for participants under 18 years of age): I will provide/arrange for transportation for rehearsals/performances and will be on time to drop off/pick up my child. I will inform the directors of any absences as far in advance as possible. I give permission to the Huber Opera House to post pictures online of my child during rehearsal for the purpose of publicity of the production. I will provide some clothing for costumes and agree to pay program fee ($150) *
