20 years ago, the Huber was being rescued from the likelihood of becoming a parking lot. Many citizens worked hard to clean the building, promote events, and arrange fundraising ideas. Virlynn Rex was the director of the Huber Chorus when the idea developed, and it was quite well received and continued with several concerts for the community.
This year, the Huber Chorus returns under the direction of Andy Gross, Virlynn’s good friend, and will perform on December 7, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., bringing you sacred and secular music as a 4 part chorus, small groups, solos, etc.
Anyone in the area and surrounding communities who can sing is welcome to join in the fun of belonging to the Huber Chorus! Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 7:00 beginning October 1 at Grace United Methodist Church in Hicksville (on High Street across from the library). If you cannot make it to all of them, that’s fine!
