Mental Health Awareness Event May 14
The Huber is hosting a Mental Health Awareness Event sponsored by Helping Hands on May 14 from 11:00-2:00. Mental health includes are social, emotional, and psychological well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It is a topic that is often ignored, but needs to be addressed to raise awareness of signals and how to deal with stress, relate to others, and make choices. Speakers will address how to prevent mental illness and tips to keeping yourself balanced.
Featured Speakers include BJ Horner from Maumee Valley Guidance Center, Mary Juarez from Never Let go and local resident Jamie Langham. Demonstrations and entertainment will be provided by OAO Monci, The Huber Youth Choir, and WillPower Fitness. Displayers include: Maumee Valley Guidance Center, The Four County ADAMhs Board, APALD, and Parkview Hospital with hands-on opportunities with Yoga and Art Therapy. The event is free to the public.
